Membership Levels and Other Statuses

The membership attendance requirement year begins each January and concludes in December of the same year. All members and pledges bear the responsibility of fulfilling their respective membership requirements, paying annual dues, accessing club announcements, and attending and/or supporting WiLA sanctioned events. All members must attend annual December planning meeting in addition to or as a part of required attendance.

  • Full Member: A woman who attends a minimum of six (6) group meetings/teleconferences. She also attends local/regional WiLA-supported/sponsored events; contributes to an annual club project; and participates in other official WiLA club activities in the calendar year. A full WiLA member cannot be a full member, officer, or on the board of another patch club. A full member remains in good standing annually through required attendance and paying annual dues of $40.00. A full member votes on club business, sponsors pledges, attends annual business/planning meetings, can hold Club Leader or Committee Chair roles, can submit/propose amendments to WiLA documents during business meetings, and wears/displays a large back patch of WiLA’s colors on personal leather vest or denim overlay.
  • Associate Member: A woman who attends a minimum of three (3) group meetings/teleconferences. She also attends local/regional WiLA-supported/sponsored events; contributes to an annual club project; and participates in other official WiLA club activities in the calendar year. An associate member remains in good standing annually through required attendance and paying annual dues of $20.00. An associate member can hold Committee Chair roles, attend the club’s Annual Business meeting, and wears/displays a small patch of WiLA’s colors on personal leather vest or denim overlay.

Other associations with WiLA:

  • Friends of WiLA: An individual who cannot be a full or associate member, but contributes through volunteerism (minimum 6 hours), educational expertise, or occasional work equity in support of the club’s mission, can become a Friend of WiLA. Women who are Friends of WiLA are welcome to attend gatherings and other official activities. Friends receive a WiLA pin (when available) for leather vest, jacket, or overlay. (Exception: Those who do not meet gender requirements can receive a friendship pin when providing educational or volunteer support to the WiLA club during community events only. WiLA, from time to time, will bestow a friendship pin upon those in the community who support the club’s mission in similar fashion.)
  • WiLA Sponsor: A sponsor is any individual. vendor, or any organization who provides financial support/donation at a minimum of $100.00 in a calendar year (January – December). At the discretion of the Club Leaders, an individual, vendor, or organization that provides significant in-service hours (minimum 20 hours) to WiLA in a calendar year, may be designated as a Sponsor. Sponsors receive a Certificate of Appreciation, a Friends of WiLA pin, and honorable mention on the WiLA website and social media for the calendar year.
